Hershey's Chocolate Pudding Cake
1-1/4 cups sugar, divided
1 cup flour
1/2cup Hershey's Cocoa
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2cup milk
1/3 cup butter, meltted
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1-1/4 cups hot water
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine 3/4 cup sugar, 1 cup flour, 1/4 cup cocoa, 2 tsp BP, and 1/4 tsp salt. Stir in mild, butter, and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
Spread batter in ungreased pan. Stir together 1/2 cup susgar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 cup cocoa. Sprinkle mixture over batter. Pout hot water over top. DO NO STIR.
Bake 35-40 minutes or until center is almost set. Remove from oven and let set 15 minutes. Spoon sauce from bottom over top. Serve with ice cream.

3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Frosting
light cream or milk
4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
12 drops food coloring
dash of salt
Cream together butter and sugar til light. Ad eggs one at at time, beating well after each egg.
Stir in1 tsp vanilla. Stir together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and 1 1/2 tsp salt. Gradually blend into creamed mixture. Chill.
On a well-floured surface. roll out dough to about 1/8 in. thickness. Cut out shapes.
Bake on ongreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for about 6-8 minutes. Makes 5 doz.
Cool and frost.

Dick's Jerky Brine
1 1/2 tsp LaSoy Sauce
2 C water
3 tsp pepper (1 each type)
2 tsp garlic
2 tsp sage (paste)
4 tsp salt
1/2 pound brown sugar
2 tsp ginger
1 tsp Hosian Sauce
STIR WELL
Soak 12 minutes in rock salt brine- 1 qt.
Remove salt. It is used as sauce.
Wash thoroughly with strainer - 3-4 times

Green Bean Casserole
Recipe from Joan Wadsworth
3 Tbl. butter
3 Tbl. flour
Make white sauce
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp sugar
3/8 tsp pepper about
3/4 cup milk 1 1/2 tsp grated onoion
Add ingredients to white sauce
Remove from heat
Add 1 1/2 cup sour cream
Stir in
6 cans French Cut Green Beans
4 1/2 cup grated Swiss Cheese
Put into casserole dish.
Put 3 cups corn flakes mixed with 5 Tbls melted butter.
Sprinkle corn flakes on top of bean casserole.
Bake 400 degrees for 20 minutes

4/1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
Add sugar to beaten eggs.
Continue to beat until very stiff.
Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Pour into ice cream freezer.
Surround with ice and rock salt.

Swedish Meatballs with Gravy
Swedish Meatballs with Gravy
2 Tbl. butter
1 onion, chopped
2 cups bread crumbs
3 cups beef broth
2 tsp. sugar
3 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
3 + lbs. ground beef
1 + lbs. ground turkey
1 + lbs. ground pork
1. Saute onion in butter
2. Mix bread crumbs, broth, sugar, salt, pepper and onion in a large bowl.
3. Add beef, turkey and pork. Mix well and form into balls (I use a 1 1/2" cookie scoop).
4. Put meatballs into a crock pot.
5. Pour gravy over the meatballs and cook on low for 2 hrs.
*NOTE
Meatball can be made ahead and frozen. Save the drippings in the fridge and make the gravy the day you serve them.
GRAVY 2 Tbls butter
3 Tbls. dripping from pan
6 Tbls. flour
5 cups beef broth
2 - 2 1/2 cups half and half cream
Make gravy recipe 2 xs for 90 meatballs.
1. Melt butter and grease in sauce pan. Gradually stir in flour to make a thick paste.
2. Add beef broth and bring to a boil. Cook 2 minutes. Reduce heat and add the cream. Cook another 3 minutes. Pour over the meatballs.
Serve over mashed potatoes and lingonberries (optional.
Makes about 90 meatballs.
